The AHCA (American Healthcare Act aka GOP care) seems pretty weak. “Phase 1” has emerged to define the loose set of guiding principles for the new law. But not much in “Phase 1” is all that impressive. I’m just not sold that selling insurance across state lines is the magic bullet for fixing healthcare.
Obamacare obviously isn’t better. But after 7 years of complaining and vowing to repeal, I’d hoped to see more in the GOP plan.
Lookout EPA! Trump is proposing major budget cuts to various agencies while bolstering defense spending. As much as all of these agencies probably deserve a hit to their budget, I’m skeptical that this will actually get through Congress as is.
