Jolanda is a visual artist, lecturer at the Utrecht School of the Arts and she works as project lead in Creatief Vermogen Utrecht, Creative Competence Utrecht.

Jolanda has been working in the arts for 30 years in many roles. In this conversation we talk about her huge watercolour painting and her community arts work with refugees and Creatief Vermogen Utrecht.

Creatief Vermogen Utrecht is a network of 43 creative partnerships between cultural and arts organisations and schools. In these partnerships teachers and artists work together in many different ways. The network also creates models and tools for arts education.

'We use the diamond as a metaphor for the creative process, to give teacher a hand in recognizing different facets of the creative process. Imagination, reflection, creative thinking are some examples.'
