The Creator of The Handmaid’s Tale Blames Star Wars for 9/11 It’s almost too bizarre to be true, but Margaret Atwood, the creator the novel and Hulu streaming series, The Handmaid’s Tale made a rather bizarre statement recently in an interview with Variety Magazine. When discussing how life imitates art, she mentioned a strange video that played behind the opera version of her story in the year 2000 that showed planes flying into skyscrapers. But it’s what she said afterward that was really weird. Atwood said, “They didn’t get that idea from my opera, don’t worry. They got the idea from “Star Wars.” When asked “Do you really believe that?” Atwood said,”Remember the first one? Two guys fly a plane in the middle of something and blow that up? The only difference is, in Star Wars, they get away.” You really can’t make this stuff up. http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/margaret-atwood-handmaids-tale-trump-feminism-1202748535/ Backwards Compatibility is Coming to XBox One, Bringing Some of the Best Star Wars Games With It In a move that sure to be cheered by Millennials around the world, Microsoft has announced the first titles being released as part of their backward compatibility feature come to XBox One. Mike Zeroh, the infamous Star Wars YouTuber is at it again. He claims that an insider has given him the scoop on why Colin Trevorrow was fired from Episode IX. Apparently, the film’s script had to be completely reworked after the death of Carrie Fisher (which is not new information). But Trevorrow wanted to bring Luke back to help carry the film forward, and Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm vehemently disagreed with this. On Zeroh’s video, he said, “The full reason why Johnson killed Luke is to free up space for the new characters... without any of the legacy characters pulling them backwards. He felt there would not be enough space for these characters with Luke Skywalker around. This is also what JJ Abrams wants and planned with Johnson for Episode 9." https://movieweb.com/star-wars-9-colin-trevorrow-script-luke-snoke-live// Today in Star Wars History: On this date in 1980, the novelization of The Empire Strikes Back was released Website: www.tatooinesons.com Twitter: twitter.com/tatooinesons Facebook: Facebook.com/tatooinesons YouTube: YouTube.com/tatooinesons Email: tatooinesons@yahoo.com
