Mark Hamill Said Making The Last Jedi Was Emotionally Difficult In an exclusive interview with USA Today, Mark Hamill opened up about the feelings he had while shooting his final scenes as the Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker. When asked about a scene in a featurette from the soon to be released BluRay of The Last Jedi, where he began to choke up when seeing the puppet of Yoda, Hamill said, “The whole movie was really difficult for me emotionally. It was acknowledging your mortality (and) the fact that something that was so meaningful in your life was necessarily coming to an end, to pass the torch to the next generation.” But don’t worry, it’s more than likely we’ll see the Force Ghost of the Jedi Master again, when Episode IX is released in December of 2019. https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2018/03/12/star-wars-mark-hamill-tears-up-yoda-exclusive-last-jedi-video/416202002/ Could We See Death Star 3 in Episode IX? In the novelization of The Last Jedi released last week, the pasty “General Hugs” reacted to the destruction of Starkiller Base - giant planet used to destroy multiple planets in The Force Awakens - with a brush off even Luke Skywalker could appreciate when he reflected to himself that “...the First Order had no shortage of other weapons – including ones Imperial commanders such as Peavey had only dreamed of.” https://screenrant.com/star-wars-first-order-superweapons-starkiller-supremacy/ Could Some of Episode IX Be Filmed In California? Mike Zeroh is at it again. This time, the controversial YouTuber notorious for regular Star Wars leaks that might, or might not, be accurate is citing a source who says that Lucasfilm is scouting a location in Pinnacles National Park in California for a location in the next Star Wars saga movie. Of course, it is unclear if this leak is accurate, but Zeroh went on to say that he believes its for a planet we haven’t seen before. http://www.ibtimes.com.au/star-wars-episode-9-scouting-team-reportedly-california-1565999 Today in Star Wars History: On this date in 1979, a fire broke out at Elstree Studios where the Empire Strikes Back production was gearing up to begin soundstage shooting.
