Mark Hamill Said George Lucas Would Have Killed Luke Skywalker Too In an interview with IGN.com, Mark Hamill revealed what he knows about George Lucas’ original plan for Luke Skywalker. While some fans seem to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown as they claim that Rian Johnson killed their childhood in The Last Jedi, they might be surprised to learn that Crazy Uncle George planned on killing everyone’s favorite Jedi by the end of Episode 9. Hamill said, "I happen to know that George didn't kill Luke until the end of (Episode) 9, after he trained Leia."
