Really?!? Admiral Holdo is Force Sensitive! Laura Dern is making waves with Star Wars fandom again with her comment regarding her controversial character from The Last Jedi, Vice Admiral Holdo. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dern said that Holdo, “...was longing for peace, and a revolutionary in that way, and wanted to be trained by and led by Leia, who taught her everything she knew. She wanted to come up in the ranks to support Leia’s mission, but also had this otherworldly side that does involve the Force.” The Last Jedi was released on home video yesterday. Andy Serkis Was Just as Shocked as You About Kylo Ren Killing Snoke No one was more shocked that Supreme Leader Snoke didn’t survive The Last Jedi than the actor who played him. In an interview on the bonus features for the movie, Serkis described the moment he found out by saying: “I was taken to my trailer on the lot at Pinewood Studios, where I was to read the script for the first time on a tablet. We were never handed printed scripts, and had to hand back the tablet as soon as we were done. I was swiping through the story, and landed on this epic scene, where Snoke is goading Kylo Ren to kill Rey, to fulfill his destiny. It was riveting, the tension building with each line. I just couldn't work out where it was heading. And then as I swiped up ... there it was. The end ... not for Rey, not for Kylo Ren, but for the Supreme Leader ... just gone. I walked out of the trailer in a state of semi-shock, feeling the weight of knowing I would have to mask a great secret for a very, very long time and that my brother, a massive Star Wars fan, was going to be heartbroken. Rumor: Solo Might Be Bringing in a Species from Splinter of the Mind’s Eye While everything from the Star Wars expanded universe that predates the 2012 purchase of Lucasfilm by Disney has been rendered “legends,” we’ve begun to see certain characters and ideas brought back into canon through animation, books, and comics. But there may be an entire species re-canonized in Solo: A Star Wars Story. The Mimbanese, a pointy haired species first introduced in the first ever expanded universe Star Wars novel, Splinter in the Mind’s Eye, are said to be featured in the anthology film being released on Memorial Day Weekend. Today in Star Wars History: On this date in 1985, the Star Wars Saga “Triple Bill” - featuring back to back to back showings of the Original Trilogy films - was screened in 9 cities in the US and Canada.
