Episode 98- Please welcome to the podcast, Founder of Pops Gaming in Shanghai, Julie Popelka. Born in Chicago USA, Julie grew up in a musical household and pursued the arts throughout her schooling. After university and four years of teaching music in Houston, Texas, she decided to move to Shanghai as a music teacher in 2018.

Pops Gaming was born in January 2021, with a small birthday party at a sushi restaurant with sushi themed games. Since then it has grown into a massive community of folks, both offline and online, connecting over a myriad of events and forms of gaming.

Currently, you can attend to play not only board games, but also video game tournaments, traditional Chinese games, tabletop roleplaying games, board games online, and even pub quizzes! @popsgamingsh
