Despite a valiant effort from a shorthanded roster, the Avalanche fall for the first time this season with a 5-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues, but not without plenty of controversy. A late disallowed goal stopped an incredible Avalanche comeback dead in its tracks, and the leagues inconsistency rears its head once more, costing the Avs a point. Despite the controversy, what could the Avalanche have done differently without their stars to get a better result? Finally, the Avalanche were confirmed to have been in on the Jack Eichel sweepstakes at one point. What would a Jack Eichel trade have looked like for the Avalanche, and would it have been a good idea to begin with?
