Andrew Morris – translator, speaker, author and thinker – is on the show again to talk about the invisible toolkit, and the impact it can have on our work as translators.

I was delighted to have Andrew on the show again – mainly because he provides so much great value for listeners. He is clearly a man going places, and he is ready to take others along with him – helping translators from around the world to develop and shine.

Now the “invisible” toolkit might sound like something from a magician’s backpack, but I find the impact that some of the tools can have on our professional lives to be quite profound, have a listen for yourself and let me know what you think. In short, a really great episode and plenty of areas to think about – techniques and mindsets that can drive us to me more successful at what we do and be more happy with who we are and what we are trying to achieve. Check it out!

Andrew has a really good presence on the web and first of all I would recommend the Facebook group standing out, a great place to hang out and chat with other translators – it’s not heavy – more like a nice relaxing café where you can talk freely with your colleagues and friends. Here’s the link:

The Holistic Webinars are also proving to be a No. 1 hit, they can be found here on the Alexandria Project Platform:

About Andrew:

Andrew Morris is a freelance translator, reviser, writer, editor of the clearing digital magazine and musician (pretty much in that order) as well as being the host of the Standing Out forum on Facebook. He began translating 6 years ago and, besides the cut and thrust of the daily linguistic challenge, he is particularly interested in what makes thriving translators succeed. His approach suggests that it takes far more than knowledge and skills, and is unafraid to look words like philosophy, ‘attitude’ and ’emotional intelligence’ squarely in the eye.
