Mike and Smitty are joined once again by local historian and author Mike Bryant, as the talk turns to coin shooting and bottle collecting. On this episode of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, Mike Bryant shares stories of coin shooting, a term used by those individuals who employ metal detectors to look for coins, jewelry, and other metallic objects buried in the ground. Learn how this is done and what kinds of items can be found by carefully searching with a metal detector in places around your city or town. Next we look at bottle collecting. Old bottles are very collectible, whether they were soda, liquor, or medicine bottles. They too are found buried in the ground and a skilled bottle hunter can find some very interesting and valuable glass containers. Often, these bottles can be found where outhouses were once located. Overall a fascinating and informative look at these diverse collectibles that may be right under where you are standing! Join us for this fun episode of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, on the Galaxy Nostalgia Network!
