Hey Listener! This was recorded 4 days after I broke my 3-day fast. What I learned on my fast: --I may have a bigger need for electrolytes than I thought! Next time I try a fast longer than 24 hours I will support it with bone broth and maybe a little bit of fat like coconut or olive oil --Hunger is such a mind game! I didn't feel much hunger for most of the fast, but I was mentally craving food. I kept myself busy and distracted, but it just goes to show that we aren't always needing food when our brains tell us we want it! --Fasting when done right gives me SO MUCH ENERGY! While it will be a long time before I try another extended fast, I may work to incorporate 24- and 36- hour fasts into my weekly routine more often--I felt so strong on days 1 and 2 at the gym, and my mood was incredible. --As far as repeating, I don't think I will repeat for at least six months, for now I will stick with intermittent fasting. And there's also a chance I may not try an extended fast again; it was a great learning experience, but with my body fat percentage now, it may not be realistic for me to do much beyond 24-36 hours, unless of course I support with fats. --A full week after breaking fast, I still feel slimmer in the waist and like my abs are showing through more than they did before--surprising, because I also have not worked out all week! --Surprise surprise--I am now more sensitive to caffeine! This I did NOT expect, and it actually freaked me out when I first drank coffee after breaking fast. Something to keep in mind even with intermittent fasting--as you lose body fat you can't handle quite as much of some substances! --I can still drink wine like a champ, though! :D Thank you for following along with my extended fast! Did you catch the videos? If not, you can still access them by checking out my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kristenkacinski. That's all for now on fasting--don't worry because next week I'll be back with a different topic! Much love, -Kristen Please check with your doctor before you try any diet, fasting, or fitness regimen. Stock media provided by www.Pond5.com.
