3 Iso Lessons About Body Love

It's a rare event to have to self-isolate. In fact its unprecedented in our lifetime. And although it's been really tough at times, I have relished the time to go deep within and re-evaluate my favourite topic: Body Love.

Everything changed for me in February and March this year. I was offered a new (dream) job, my living circumstances changed suddenly and I had a life changing medical diagnosis. And then the global pandemic set in. It's been surreal. And hard. So for a while my brain couldn't handle all the Body Love stuff too.

But now I've settled in to this new way of life, I've been able to reflect on Body Love, and how my opinions have changed.

  1. I'm so glad I've been able to accept my body over the last few years. If I was still obsessed about the size of my body I would have found this time terrifying and very difficult. This stuff IS LEARNABLE, but you have to decided that it's what you want. And then it takes WERK.
  2. Body Love has never actually been about Body Love. Huh? Body Love is really about self love and self worth. The moment you open your eyes every morning you are WORTHY - of love, money, health and your own approval! I know now that I have more work to do on this but I am really enjoying the journey.
  3. We all needed a good long break (and we still do). To take life down a notch. It's not easy to go against our busy, busy busy natures but gosh it feels good!
