On this episode we discuss qualities 9-20 of a smart Jiu-Jitsu practitioner.

This episode comes from an e-mail that Chewy had on his e-mail list. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list and are the next 10 qualities that Chewy came up with.

Here is #11-20:

11. Can roll at various speeds depending on the situation.

12. Is able to undulate between their "A game" and new techniques that will push them to improve.

13. Isn’t side tracked by a loss of short-term motivation but instead focuses on the long-term goals.

14. Does their best to be a good follower and in turn will make a good leader someday.

15. Is willing to invest in their skills through coaches, seminars, courses and other resources.

16. Understands that it’s not just what you do, but how you do it that really matters.

17. Realizes that their biggest, most challenging opponent, is themself.

18. Understands that they will fail or be incompetent with most things in the beginning, thus they aren’t discouraged when things don’t go well early on because they already accept it would happen.

19. Never goes on a trip without some gear to train in. . . Just in case.

20. Has both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations for training.
