On this week's original improvisational radio theater comedy hour, Ellis and Elise are bored with Camp Waterlogg now that they are no longer stars of TV"s "Beluga Battles" until Andy and Lkie bring them the camp's new dog Sophie.
The scenes feature the real life pet of Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev) and Lorie Kellogg. The married couple, who create Comedy-O-Rama each week, rescued the border collie when she was nine months old.
Meanwhile, Sgt. Lefty and Olive Pitts are still eating sushi in scenes recorded live at a Japanese restaurant in New Paltz, New York.
"We welcome Sophie to our home AND our radio show this Saturday," explains Bev, who adds, "You can also hear our chickens on the show!"
Bev and Kellogg improvised all the character's voices, including a pair of industrious chipmunks.
Lorie Kellogg also performs the radio cartoon: "A Plate Full of Music" by Pedro Pablo Sacristan.
Waterlogg Productions is a multi-media entertainment company founded by husband-and-wife team Joe Bevilacqua and Lorie Kellogg whose output includes works that harken to the golden age of radio but with comedy in the forefront. Their work has been called “classic, yet marvelously fresh…original and vintage radio comedy and more” (BlueStone Press). Audiobook-Heaven.com called the duo “extremely talented voice artists…[with] a fine flair for drama, satire, and comedy.”
Joe Bev and Lorie Kellogg have been working together since they met in 1996. They have acted together on Amazon's Alpha House with John Goodman and the movie The Fly Room directed by Alexis Gambis. In 2012, Bev & Kellogg toured with their Vaudeville in the Catskills stage show, in which they performed "Lambchops" the classic Burns and Allen comedy routine, and Bev MCd and performed the classic Abbott and Costello routine Who's On First?
In 2013, Blackstone Audio, Inc. began a partnership with Waterlogg Productions to provide its award-winning audiobooks to a wider audience.
Blackstone’s Sales Manager Anne Fonteneau said, “We are very excited to be working with the multi-talented Joe Bevilacqua and Lorie Kellogg. Their quality audiobooks can entertain the entire family and will complement Blackstone’s fast-growing catalog of audio offerings.”
"Lorie and I are thrilled to be working with Blackstone, the grandfather of all audio book companies, to bring our audio to new audiences," said Waterlogg Productions owner Joe Bevilacqua.
Bev and Kellogg have released over 120 audio titles since 2013, including autobiography, biography, documentary, history, interview, classic literature, fiction, radio drama, comedy and even cartoons.
