Throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, access to food is cut off by devastating impact of COVID, natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, and drought), and rising prices. In agricultural communities, there has often been no planting or harvests due to drought, flooding, or quarantine. The price of the available food is skyrocketing. Many markets and farms are closed, so parents are unable to earn money. And schools, which often provide impoverished children their only meal, are closed or families cannot afford even the lowest school fees.

In many communities, hunger is becoming starvation.

An expert from Food for the Poor joins Brian and Aubrey to describe financial desperation facing families in the Caribbean and Latin America, and how listeners can be a part of the solution.
