Now that the squad has returned after its extended absence, it’s time for mop up duty, and what better time to mop up the dreck of Hollywood Horror than January and February, Hollywood’s traditional dump months. And what is on the docket this time? A cash-grab from a couple of previous Oscar winners; yet another attempt to reboot a franchise; and a box office hit from a former wunderkind with a penchant for twist endings.
I’m your records keeper and founding squad member, David Snider, and joining me are fellow squadcasters Cody Eastlick and Madolyn Whitmer.
Mission Dossier:
- Bye Bye Man – Unfathomably bad horror film that contains no redeeming qualities
- Rings – Film that actively encourages disinterest among its audience. Suggest taking several bathroom breaks to avoid overexposure
- Split – Latest M. Night Shyamalan film. May contain one good performance and one overwritten script
Next Episode: After suffering several mental wounds from their latest mop up assignment, the squad takes some R&R and gets wild at Spring Breeeeeeeeak!!! (Only to run afoul of some Mesolithic underground lake dwellers)
