When Disabilities Become Abilities - The Eric Deems Show
Manage episode 311675223 series 3164974
Some of the greatest abilities are just hidden, at least upon first glance.
In this episode, we discuss the beauty and opportunities that have emerged from people with disabilities. From Camp Jened in 1971 to achieving the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) in 1990, the inspiring story of a few passionate leaders outlined in the Oscar-nominate film "Crip Camp" is inspiring. I also share a few personal stories of how my life is better for knowing the friends who've overcome (and continue to overcome) their own disabilities. Tune in, won't you?
