This podcast addresses the question about why we seem to feel the need to help God out with our Calling and Destiny. One of my teenage children once told me that “he had it all under control”. Come listen to the context when this statement was made at 2:00am in the morning with the police on the phone. From a teenager’s perspective nothing to worry about here “I got it all under control”. From a parent’s perspective all hell was breaking loose. It was not just that I knew that he didn’t have anything under control; but more frightening was the thought that he ‘thought’ he had it under control. How could he be that clueless? Yet, I wonder when we make a mistake if God our Father doesn’t ask Himself the same question. How could we be so clueless?
This podcast relates stories from Abraham’s life an example of someone who felt the need to help God out with his calling and destiny. Don’t we do the same thing? Whenever we do, it seems we create a mess. Why couldn’t we just leave well enough alone? Why can’t we trust God with our Calling and Destiny? What are the consequences of not trusting God? This last question subsumes that you know God as your Father in some way, and you still don’t listen to Him.
When you listen, you will be encouraged because no matter how many times you fail, your Father is always there to help you out and get you back on track. He is a good, good Father! Absolutely Good! Do you know Him as your Father? When you listen to the Father’s Heart Talk Show, we hope you will develop a longing to know God as your Father. Furthermore, if you already know Him in this way, you can always grow to know Him more and more with each new experience. Enjoy your life with Him through new experiences and your trust in Him will grow. Your relationship with Him will bring you to knowing yourself and to finding your Calling and Destiny. After all He knows your future and is waiting for you to get there. He is already in your tomorrow working things out before you get there!
