Wow! This is the agreement that I work so hard every single day to live by..."The 4th Agreement," "ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST."
Just recently my life has been so greatly fulfilled by my past efforts of putting the energy to do my very very very very BEST. I had another story to tell but that is no longer relevant as to this new development in my life that I just have to share. I am the new National titleholder, "MRS. AMERICAN 2022!"
Many of you may recall that I placed as 1st Runner-Up as Mrs. California at the National pageant where all the states compete for the national "Mrs. American" title. I poured my heart, my soul, my everything into winning that title but I came up short. But really did I by placing 1st Runner-Up? I felt in my heart, and I could swear I heard God whispering that this was my destiny. I was confused why I was home without the title after performing so well and many people believing that I would win.
While I was home my father-in-law who I mentioned in this podcast did pass away. In fact, his funeral was the day of the international pageant that the winner was competing in. That night after the funeral of course, I tuned in to watch all the countries compete for the Mrs. World title. Well, it turns out God's plan was for me to be "Mrs. American." She won the international title of Mrs. World making me next in line to assume the title of Mrs. American!
The lesson is to always just always practice the 4th agreement by always doing your best. If I had not done my best to place as 1st Runner-Up I would not have been able to assume the role of becoming the first woman in the state of California to hold the Mrs. American national title, the 1st Mrs. American for my pageant director, the 1st Black woman to win a national title in the state of California, the 1st Black woman to win Mrs. American, the 1st to win from Orange County, the 1st to win representing Palm Springs....and so on and so on! I am humbled and so honored.
My trick to implementing the four agreements in my life is to practice the 4th agreement because if you are always doing your best then you have to practice all the other agreements too.
