From The Dough Shoppe:
The journey started when Shannon and Katelyn were traveling in Buffalo, NY and came across an edible cookie dough shop. It was delicious, of course, and they instantly fell in love with the idea of starting one of their own. After a few weeks, they felt the Lord leading them towards this path. Research was done, plans were made, doors closed while others opened, and after only a few months, on November 9, 2017, The Dough Shoppe began scooping edible and bakeable cookie dough.
Each member of the family owns a portion of the business and brought something unique to the table. Jamie works full-time as a structural engineer. Shannon is a successful small business owner, running a stencil and airbrush company for cookie decorators. Tyler attends college at UW Platteville and is a Sergeant in the Army Reserves. Katelyn graduated from The French Pastry School in Downtown Chicago.
This small family of four is overwhelmed by the blessings their small business has brought including the support they’ve seen from their customers and everyone they’ve crossed paths with during this new season of life.
Katelyn and Shannon now spend most of their time working at the shop, serving their customers or making cookie dough. Each day brings a new adventure and a new reason to be thankful for the opportunity to be experiencing this together as a family.
They’re constantly reminded to “not lose heart in doing good…while we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people.” (Galatians 6:9-10)
