It’s sad, but not everyone wants to come along for the ride with the big career plans you have laid out—maybe they’re family members who’re concerned for you and want you to settle down with something less risky, or maybe they’re friends who envy your drive. You shouldn’t cut these people out of your life, but it’s still your best option to put some distance between you and find mentors and peers who have the same drive you do.
In this episode, I explain why building up your own confidence will boost other people’s confidence in you, teach you how to set healthy boundaries with people who might not believe in your dream, and suggest how you can build up a way stronger support system.
