LaDawn has fabulous examples of how to communicate with kids, in ways that works with all kids! She is raising a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder and talks about her experience helping her 9-year-old develop language in the presence of Autism and associated other disorders and struggles. She tells the exact verbiage she uses to communicate and to manage behavior with her son.
She gives a great examples how her self-awareness has grown due to her practices, how she approaches others, and how manages her own internal dialog during the challenges.
*LaDawn is an AMAZING EXAMPLE of how to successfully teach difficult skills using language - even as she explains it is a long process and takes persistence.
