In this episode of The Makers Gonna Make Show, Julie interviews Kelly Robinson, founder of SchKIDules, which are visual schedules for kids. After serving in the Air Force, she transitioned to being the stay-at-home mom of a very strong-willed child. At her wits end with fights over everyday tasks, Kelly created her product to help facilitate communicate with her child.

When a child sees what you’re trying to tell them, they understand it better. When you use a visual schedule with a child, they tend to comprehend better and cooperate more, and they cope better emotionally. This leads to a positive behavioral outcome.

The very first day in use, the visual calendar eliminated meltdowns – and SchKIDules was born! After 10 years as a maker, Kelly has learned a lot along the way. She shares some of these lessons in this engaging and fun conversation.
