A draw isn’t a win but it’s better than a loss, and when you get the tying goal in stoppage time, you kind of have to be happy with it. Such was the fate of Orlando City on Saturday night against the Philadelphia Union when Scott Sutter’s strike pulled a point out of thin air after a good first half but yet another lackluster second. We’re talking about the match and it’s a lot nicer to talk about a draw than a loss. Thad Bell, the manager of The Blue Testament then joins us to look ahead to Saturday’s showdown with Sporting Kansas City. Dom Dwyer will be making his return to the Blue Hell for the first time since being traded to Orlando and the Lions will have to beat a good Western Conference side on the road to snap the current interminable skid. Thad gives us the lowdown on the competition from SKC. Our weekly mailbag questions kick off the final segment, we discuss the upcoming Orlando Pride NWSL season finale and the USWNT’s first ever meeting with Chile, and we provide our key match-ups and score predictions for the Lions against the Sporks. If there’s something you want us to address on our next show, just ask by tweeting it to us @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. Here’s how show No. 141 unspooled: 0:12 - An actual point to discuss, with multiple goals and everything. It feels...weird but oh so right. 21:52 - Thad Bell ruminates on Dom’s return to KC and what we can expect on Saturday night. 40:11 - Mailbag time, plus the Pride close out the season at Sky Blue, the USWNT dismantles Chile, and our predictions for Saturday night.
