The message on the first day the Democratic National Convention was one of moving forward and unity. Warriors Coach Steve Kerr spoke about not staying silent. AOC gave a passion filled speech making it clear the Democratic Party is one for all the people trying to make it in the world. Representative Jasmine Crockett and Senator Raphael Warnock delivered words of hope. Hilary Clinton brought down the house when she said when a barrier falls for one of us, it falls for all of us. She talked about the women that came before her from Shirley Chisholm to Geraldine Ferraro and told the world, “the time is now. The future is here.” President Biden gave what may be the last big speech of his political career as the crowd waved banners reading, “We Love Joe.”
