Welcome Back & Happy New Year to You…

Have you been wondering if we were going to be continuing on with the Measurement For Business Podcast in 2016? Wonder no more … WE ARE!

We’ve just released our next Interview, it’s the 1st episode for 2016, hosted by yours truly – George & Lorie Gill. And it’s live and waiting for you right now – so go have a listen! ?

In this episode we interview Author, Coach and Trainer Richard Robbins on his book “Deliver the Unexpected”. A must read, for any entrepreneur, sales professional, or leader looking to take their game both personally and professionally to the next level.

What’s In-Store for You:

It’s a new year, with new goals… a fresh start so to speak! Are you ready? If you’re shaking your head YES – Awesome! And if you’re a little hesitant – that’s okay too, because help is on the way.

We want you to be successful this year (even more so than last year), and we want you to be more than ready – to take on this brand new year of goals.

What’s holding you back from succeeding – Myths & Limiting Beliefs perhaps? It’s time to be proactive in your life, to seize the moment, kick the bad habits, and throw those Myths out the window. You’ve been reactive long enough, it’s time to get down to business and set yourself up for SUCCESS! And Richard Robbins (our guest interviewee), is going to help. Richard believes that “The Giving Starts the Receiving Process” and he shares some great (real life) stories to show how this works.

Here’s the 411 on Richard Robbins:

Richard Robbins is cofounder and CEO of Richard Robbins International (RRi), Canada’s leading real estate sales training and coaching organization.

He is a Speaker, trainer and author of the highly-acclaimed book, Deliver the Unexpected, he is best described by his audiences as the epitome of a true integrity-powered leader.

As one of North America’s foremost business coaches, he has spoken live to over 250,000 people worldwide, and more than 5,000 entrepreneurs and sales professionals have graduated from the acclaimed RRi business coaching program.

And… he is here with us today to share his insight, experience and wisdom. So if you’re ready…grab a pen & paper (or open an Evernote doc) & let’s dispel some myths & learn how to Deliver The Unexpected.

Highlights & Takeaways Mentioned in this Episode:

First of all… Have you had the opportunity to read Deliver the Unexpected? What did you think & which “Myth(s)” resonated most with you?

Here’s a few things that we asked:

  • Tell us a little bit about why you decided to write a book & why a Fable?
  • In your book, you look at these 7 “Success Myths”:
    > The Future Myth
    > The Knowledge Myth
    > The Failure Myth
    > The Abundance Myth
    > The Value Myth
    > The Attraction Myth
    > The Happiness Myth

Which of these Myths (top 2 or 3) do you find Entrepreneurs struggle with the most… and how can they turn that struggle around to achieve their true potential?
  • Can you talk a bit about Internal & External Motivation…
How does one get their external motivation in line with their internal motivation to propel them forward to success?
  • In your book, the last chapter touches on “Being Happy” vs “Having Happiness” can you elaborate on this… (Being Happy is a “Choice” vs chasing Happiness the “Thing”)

Our Goal was to help you identify and dispel some Success Myths that you may be facing in your business. And to share some ways to move past those limiting beliefs and put you back on the road to success. How did we do? (Let us know in the comments below).

Did you think we forgot the Video? We’ve got it right here, so you can view the entire episode if you prefer.

Examination Room:

In the examination room, we discuss a quote from the late (and great) Jim Rohn—an American Entrepreneur, Author and Motivational Speaker. His rags to riches story played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry.

We asked Richard to share his view on what this quote meant to him, be sure to tune in to see what his thoughts revealed – we also found out that Jim Rohn was one of Richard’s mentors too. So it was perfect for today’s episode of the “Examination Room”…

In true Jim Rohn form, he states:

“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.”

George & I weigh in with our thoughts too – what did you think – do you agree? What would you say this quote means to you (care to share your thoughts in the comments below)?
