Braves pitching may be enough to propel playoff run

The Braves were able to complete the series win versus the Philadelphia Phillies with a 3-2 win Thursday night. Yet again, the Braves were able to squeak just enough offense across the board to seal the victory thanks to more stellar pitching. Rookie Spencer Schwellenbach went 6.2 innings as the starting pitcher while giving up only two earned runs and striking out nine Phillies. On the back end, closer Raisel Iglesias closed out the game with three strikeouts of the Phillies three, four, and five hitters. For those counting at home, that is thirty-five straight hitters that Iglesias has sat down over his last eleven outings. Minus losing who was that Braves best pitcher last year, pitching has been outstanding for the team this year, and as Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael discuss, it may just be enough to take them on a nice playoff run.
