Since international travel is still very limited, I wanted to virtually transport us all to the Netherlands this week! I’ve invited my parents, Mike and Joni, on to discuss their five-year stint as ex-pats in Amsterdam - an opportunity that came as quite a surprise to our family in 2014. We discuss their first reactions to the city, adapting to Dutch life, some of their favorite places to go, transportation tips, and the best ways to experience the culture. My brother, Taylor, makes an impromptu appearance, and we end the episode by trying to pronounce some of the most challenging words in Dutch. So, kick back, close your eyes, and imagine you’re in Amsterdam! Episode details, including a blog post with travel suggestions and links to our favorite places in the city, can be found at www.kristinsigmund.com/podcast.
