Actor David Mc Knight joins Mother Love in studio to share his storied career. David McKnight, Recently Starred In "JITNEY" At The Pasadena Playhouse And South Coast Repertory Theatre, Is A Talented Seasoned Veteran Actor Born In Shelby Miss. He Began His love For Acting While At Wendell PHillips H. S. In Chicago Ill. He Worked And Studied W/ Harold Okoro Johnson & Joan Abena Brown. (His mentors) Afro Arts Theatre, Theatre On The Lake,The Goodman Theatre, & The Kuumba Players W/ Val Grey Ward. Was A Proud Member Of The ITP Company Of The Mark Taper Forum, Where He Worked, Trained And Performed "COMEDIA DEL ARTE" In "A Christmas Carol" At The Taper & Phoenix Ariz. David, Having Appeared In Over 75 Stage Plays Recently Completed "VOICES" At The Wilshire Ebell Theatre And The Nat Holden Theatre. Also "DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS" At The Odyssey Theatre W/Charlie Robinson. Directed By Jeffery Hayden. David Also Worked 8 yrs. As An Acting Consultant At U.S.C. W/ Prof. Oscar Williams. And With Talent And Perseverance Has Gone On To Develop A Successful Career In Hollywood. Bob has been the Executive Director for a little over four years. Prior to joining JDRF, he was Vice President for Donor and Foundation Relations at City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte CA. While at City of Hope, Bob was involved in helping fund the Gonda Diabetes Research Center, a JDRF grantee, along with many other research programs and facilities at the renowned medical center. Bob’s career in philanthropy spans more than 20 years. As a volunteer, Bob is also the President of the Lieblich Foundation, a private family foundation, which primarily supports art and music education; and is Vice Chair of the LA Neighborhood Land Trust, a non-profit focused on creating parks and playgrounds in LA’s most underserved communities.
