Kristen is a writer with personal experiences struggling with mental health in motherhood. She and her husband and 3 boys live in the suburbs of Dallas, TX. Her mission is to help other mothers know that they are not alone in their struggles by sharing experiences and advice through a mix of informative posts, stories, and humor.
Kristen shares her story about experiencing depression for the first time during her first pregnancy and how mental health struggles with anxiety and depression have become part of her motherhood story.
I also share my own struggles with my mental health and we both get real about what this looks like for us on a day to day basis. We talk about hope, support, practical grace, and rediscovering hope when you deal with mental health struggles as a mom.
Quotable Quotes:
“I realized that, if this isn’t going to go away, I want other moms to know that they can get help and that they’re not alone too. That’s really is what makes you feel like you can have hope and survive is by knowing that other people have done it.”

"Now that I have a plan in place and medication, usually the bad days pass and then it’s reminding yourself “the bad days are going to pass and it’s going to be ok” and rediscovering that hope again and again."

"Advocating for yourself is a skill that you have to develop."
