Since 2015, Kahiga has been working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, technology and community development through The ITEM, Inc., a nonprofit he founded designed to help people of color access Philadelphia’s emerging technology scene. Kahiga is also founder of Wellstone Technologies, a technology talent acquisition and training firm. Kahiga comes to the table to speak about his experience building The ITEM, pivoting into the tech space, tech as a vehicle for social change and combating poverty, and his training firm Wellstone Technologies.
