Steve Olson, AKA Maguey Geek & Global Mezcal Advocate, talks all about Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal in our latest episode.

  1. Del Maguey is the pioneer of the artisanal mezcal space.
  2. Del Maguey is not Mezcal but Single Village Mezcal: through deep cultural relationships with indigenous producers in Oaxaca and Puebla, Mexico, Del Maguey protects and preserves the ancient production processes that have been passed down generationally for hundreds of years.
  3. Every product in our collection is made by individual family palenqueros (producers) in traditional villages, where they create their liquid art as they always have with their traditional, handmade processes.
  4. These traditional methods combined with the diverse micro-climates and terroir of Mexico give each expression of Del Maguey a unique, complex character that celebrates the art of the family producer.
