The Covid-era Iditarod, Alaska's historic race, ended this month with a whimper. Nearly 200 dogs had to be pulled from the race due to injury or illness, and one musher pulled his team when he realized his sick dogs gave him no chance. John Di Leonardo, PETA's senior manager for animals in entertainment talks with Emil Guillermo about the lowlights of the race, and how the race should end now before talk of the next race in 2022,the Iditarod's 50th year.
