Week 3 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2019 season is now in the books. The Eagles lost to the Detroit Lions at The Linc by a score of 27-24, and their record is now 1-2 on the season.
Once again, the Eagles offense was unable to generate any real consistency as receivers dropped a total of seven balls in key situations. There were also four total offensive pass interference calls on Eagles receivers in this game. Two big fumbles by Miles Sanders and Nelson Agholor put this Eagles team in a hole they were never quite able to crawl out from. Meanwhile, the Eagles defense played an up and down game, giving up big plays to Matt Stafford, yet also playing well on 3rd down in some key situations. Injuries and inconsistency have been the biggest themes of this season, which we saw the result of during this game. And we have to ask ourselves this question; have we been in denial about who this Eagles team really is?
