We've been reflecting on our Philly sports teams this summer, and each team is in a great position to give us fans what we want – great sports moments. The Eagles are defending Super Bowl Champions. The Phillies are currently at the top of the NL East. The Sixers have a roster that is now postseason ready. And the Flyers have made upgrades that should lead to more postseason hockey. But we wanted to take a look throughout the history of our beloved teams, and we asked the follow question: who are the top-3 Philly sports legacy teams and eras? We'll get into our lists this week.
But first, on the Brief News & Views segment:
1. Listener feedback on the most beloved player to the four major teams who's still playing their sport. (6:25)
2. Dallas Goedert may be the Eagles X-Factor this year. (18:00)
3. President Trump and LeBron James. (25:10)
4. Sixers rookie Zhaire Smith is now injured. (43:05)
5. Phillies Talk: Tommy Hunter is for real and might the Phils have won the Asdrubal Cabrera vs. Manny Machado trade?
Then we get into our Up or Down segment where we briefly analyze Philly sports figures to determine if their needle is moving up or down. (59:35)
What we're throwing down on the Table is our top-3 list this week: who are the top Philly sports legacy teams and eras? Our lists weren't easy to generate because there have been many amazing teams and eras over the decades in the world of Philly sports. Let us know who makes your top-3 list.
