It has been nothing short than a disappointing and even embarrassing season for the Philadelphia Eagles. With a record of 4-5 and divisional record of 1-1, the team still has a statistical chance to make it into the playoffs. The question is, where do the Eagles go from here, and can they make a run? To get into it with us this week, James Seltzer, host and producer at 94.1 WIP and the Go Birds podcast sits down with us to dissect this frustrating team.
But first, on the Brief News & Views segment:
1. PST voicemail dealing with the Eagles. (5:00)
2. Should the Phillies be shopping Carlos Santana? (13:05)
3. Do we really want the Flyers to win? (18:25)
4. What is Fultz's value as the season progresses? (25:25)
Then we got into our Up or Down segment where we briefly analyze Philly sports figures to determine if their needle is moving up or down. (30:35)
What we're throwing down on the Table this week is a great conversation with James Seltzer from 94.1 WIP and the Go Birds podcast about this Philadelphia Eagles team and coaches. First, we dove into the lack of intensity this team appears to have week-in and week-out. From there we talked about the percentage of blame that should be placed on Jim Schwartz, the players and injuries for the defense's terrible performance. Why hasn't the defense been able to generate turnovers? Third-down conversions aren't coming as easy as last year. We also discussed the running game that has been lacking and whether or not Doug Pederson isn't calling a good game, or whether it's the talent in the backfield. What will happen against the Saints this week in New Orleans? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (35:25)
