In order to look into the future, you must first look into the past. It’s been 30 years since Eric built his first pond. Since then, so much has changed with the processes involved in pond building, not just in technology but also in design strategies. Today, Eric is here to talk about all of the changes that have occurred over history in the art of pond building as well as the changes that he has witnessed in his 30 years in the business. After covering the past, he will shed some light on the future of pond design and construction.

Eric shares his insight on:

  • Digging into the history of architecture and pond building
  • What pond building was like when Eric first started out
  • Ecosystem pond explosion in SoCal in 1999
  • Defining water gardens, dedicated koi ponds, and ecosystem ponds
  • The endless possibilities with ecosystem ponds
  • Inspiring others to build ponds through construction seminars
  • Where the future of pond construction lies
  • Looking back at the most memorable jobs and projects
  • How the internet is changing the speed of the industry
