Hello guys and welcome back once again to another episode of The ProTipster Football Show, it’s Thursday so that means our Weekend Betting Preview video; we’ll have two podcasts today, one video and one audio out later in the day too. We’ve picked four cracking matches from the upcoming English fixtures this weekend that we really like the look of. One from the Championship and three from the Premier League; including the Liverpool Derby and the Manchester Derby.
Championship Betting
First up we take a look at the scrapping going on at the top of the Championship table; 4th placed Sheffield United are taking on 3rd place Bristol City. The Blades have taken a bit of a wobble lately, losing at home to Fulham and only drawing against a Birmingham City who are in the worst form in quite some time. Bristol City, on the other hand, are in mighty form away from home so we take a look at the goals markets because that’s probably how this match is going to go.
Premier League Betting
We turn our attention then to a couple of Premier League matches; first up is Newcastle United taking on a resurgent Leicester City. During the week ProTipsterDan wrote a great piece on the blog about Rafa Benitez‘ time at Newcastle United and the ongoing on/off sale of The Magpies and how it’s going to affect the team, especially if the deal isn’t done before the January Transfer Window closes.
Liverpool Derby
Next up is the Liverpool Derby between Liverpool and Everton. Sam Allerdyce seems to be onto a winner here, if Liverpool thrash Everton here it’s not his fault as he has inherited a team who have been terrible recently, albeit they’ve played well in their two most previous games. And if they draw, or even win then Sam is a genius. Liverpool are in mighty form, their defence is still a mess but when you can outscore everything that comes up against you then sure at least it’s entertaining.
Manchester Derby
Finally then we turn towards the Manchester Derby taking place in Old Trafford where Manchester United host Manchester City. City lost their Champions League match away to Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester United haven’t lost in 40 games at Old Trafford, will something give here or is a stalemate on the cards?
