In this episode our founder Nour Hassan speaks to French-Egyptian Fashion Buyer, influencer and over all fashion guru Ines Gohar. Ines worked for 8 years as a Fashion Buyer touring the world’s fashion capitals to buy high-end luxury brands and couture for the first international department store in Egypt BEYMEN. We speak about the series of internships that landed her an interview at VOGUE, traveling the world and attending fashion weeks as a buyer, creating trends rather than following them, and what the fashion industry in our region lacks and what it needs in order to help designers make it on a global scale.

She has extensive knowledge of fashion buying, trend forecasting, and the ins and outs of the industry as it was pre-social media mania and now. Recently, Ines has focussed on local brand consulting and helping young local designers’ development. She has also created her own platform where she promotes and supports Egyptian craftsmanship and talents to be launched soon. Ines also likes to share her experiences being a new mom to Laïlyne on her page @inesgohar.
This podcast was recorded LIVE at Fashion Central's event at UPTOWN EMAAR in collaboration with Venture Lifestyle and Contégram.
