We live in a society where stress-related issues are the #1 driver of appointments to your primary care physician—somewhere in the range of 75-90% of all primary care visits! I’m a firm believer of focusing on the basics, and stress is one of those basics that, if we can just get it under control, a myriad of other things will fall into place.

Dr. Carrie Jones is the Medical Director for Precision Analytical and an internationally recognized speaker, consultant, and educator on the topic of women’s health and hormones. Dr. Jones believes it’s critical that both men and women understand their hormones, in a simplified manner, so they can feel more empowered to take control of their own health. She is now the medical director for Precision Analytical, creators of the DUTCH hormone test, one of my favorite tests to evaluate hormones and cortisol levels in men and women.

Test, don’t guess.

The DUTCH Test allows for individualized care. It will give you a pattern of cortisol throughout the day, it will tell you your production of cortisol, and it will test your cortisone levels as well. Sometimes, it may not be your cortisol at all, and may be one of many other hormones that deal with fatigue. This test helps you pinpoint exactly what is happening with you so that you can get the exact treatment that you need.
