On our show, we have Rep. Andrew Barkis, Lawmaker – US Hose of Representatives from Washington State.

After watching a documentary titled “Seattle is Dying” on the local news, a light bulb went off in Andrew Barkis’ head as the show detailed the painstaking details of the life he and his family had been living the past 7 years with a son struggling with a Heroin addiction. The representative believes drug addiction is one of the main causes of homelessness. At the beginning of the legislative session in January of 2020, he asked that $20 million be put into the state budget to create a fund for grants to police agencies who need financial help dealing with addicts who happen to be homeless.
