Welcome to Episode 13 of the Reddit NFL Podcast. You’re lucky to listen to this episode, number 13, as hosts Chris and Jeff cover all the latest trending news and notes from the world of r/NFL and the NFL at large.
The boys are quite proud of the lead story, Ryan Leaf’s incredible AMA in the subreddit about his journey from being a draft bust, to his drug addiction and arrest, as well as his newfound drive to be a good human being. Leaf has led a life that few could imagine, and a story that has turned out to be pretty inspirational.
Another former player with significant off-field drama, Michael Vick, is retiring as an Atlanta Falcon. We reminisce about his incredible skills and the effort he has put into also being a better human being as well as the city and team’s ability to forgive and move on.
There are fun topics like Gronkowski’s completely apropos career TD and yards per game average, and Steelers kicker Chris Boswell being thrown out of a Stanley Cup Finals game. There are historical reflections on some great wide receivers, like Jerry Rice’s unreal 1987 season and the Vikings honoring both Randy Moss and Ahmad Rashad.
Who has the best hands in the NFL? The statistical answer might surprise you. Things get serious with Bears LB Leonard Floyd’s startling admission he suffered two concussions and has already had trouble thinking straight. Learn Jeff’s odd choice for favorite baseball teams and why you don’t want to sit next to Chris at sporting events, among many other hits in this jam-packed show.
