Episode 15 of the Reddit NFL Podcast is here for your listening pleasure. In this week’s episode, hosts Chris and Jeff discuss the top quarterbacks from the last era and who belongs where on the list. Another hot topic from r/NFL came up and led to a great talk about great NFL teams who didn’t quite make it…
Which great NFL teams had their championship windows closed without success? Two of the top teams here shared a head coach, and there’s some throwback to the 70s too. Great discussion about a few teams who had it all but the championship.
On a more serious note, this show regularly has fun at Jeff Fisher’s expense, but his very public firing and the great coverage by Amazon’s “All or Nothing” series brings to light the humanity involved. Fisher shows how much integrity he has and how he has come to be known as a “stand-up” guy. We have tons of respect for Fisher as a man, but of course, we will continue with the 7-9 bullshit and our “This Week In Mediocrity” segment. In that segment, The Riz rips on Dorial Green-Beckham and the metric-oriented scouts who are too willing to overlook off-field and character issues in the evaluation process. Green-Beckham is a great example of why so much more matters.
There are fun surprises, like Dick Lebeau seeing himself in different colors than most people would expect, a murderer wearing a Tony Romo jersey in court, the Colts admitting to (sort of) cheating (sort of), and a whole lot more. Sit back, give it a listen and take a moment to interact with the show!
