On Episode 119 of the RETROZEST podcast, Curtis celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the action/adventure film FIRST BLOOD starring Sylvester Stallone (as John J. Rambo)! The film also starred Brian Dennehy and Richard Crenna. It was released theatrically on October 22, 1982, and thus the Rambo franchise was born!
Joining Curtis on this episode is a VERY SPECIAL GUEST to discuss the film as well as his 1972 novel which inspired it; DAVID MORRELL! David is a Canadian-American novelist who has written 28 novels; his work has been translated into 30 languages. He also wrote the 2007–2008 Captain America comic book miniseries The Chosen.
