With the advent of Algorithmic Trading or what is commonly called “Algo Trading”, traders have enjoyed seamless operations with increased returns. Although a much-cherished tool, Algo trading has generated varied sentiments among different groups, particularly when it comes to its impact on employment in the face of growing automation.
In this episode of The Risk Experience Podcast, we discuss algo trading, some of its pros and cons, as well as its role in risk management.
Joining me for this discussion is Laurent Bernut, Founder & CEO of Alpha Secure Capital. Laurent has developed risk management systems for portfolios and developed algorithmic trading strategies that perform on multiple platforms. He has also worked in the alternative investment space at Fidelity Investments, Rockampton, and Ward Ferry, for 14 years.
