Today I'm joined by Sara Hornsey, a registered manager who supports adults with mental health illnesses. We talk about the stigma around mental health and how every day really is different in her home.

Sara also discusses LGBT training and the challenge trying to do end of life training in a non-elderly home. She also shares the steps she took to get that outstanding rating from CQC just a few months ago.

As a long time listener it was great to finally have Sara on the show.

Sara talked about Issac Theophilos and how his book "How To Get Outstanding" helped her realise she was meeting the CQC criteria for outstanding. Follow Issac on Twitter here, Listen to his episode on the podcast here and buy his book here.

Sara also talks about 6 Steps End Of Life Training and you can find more information about it here.

Don’t forget to check out our sponsor Sekoia who provide digital care planning for care homes. Their technology is person centred and incredibly simple to use. You’ll make fewer mistakes and save so much time I really recommend heading over to their website and checking them out.

Finally - follow and join in the conversation over on Twitter to keep up with all of the latest interviews and share your comments. It’s @CarePodcast.

As always, thank you for listening! Sophie
