Does your medical practitioner blog?

I’m very grateful for the ones who do, because blogging on a regular basis forces the development of 3 desirable characteristics:

  1. A commitment to continuing education and constant evolution of thinking
  2. Constant reflection and introspection of the topics learned and experienced
  3. Teaching, which is an indicator of true knowledge (blogging is a way of teaching)

All 3 of these characteristics are what I want from a medical practitioner. A practitioner is routinely given a life and asked to make decisions and heal it. So, I would hope they are constantly learning, reflecting and improving… but the reality is most aren’t.

Jill, a Clinical Nutritionist and Chiropractor, does all three well on her blog realfoodforager.com. She uses her blog to teach patients when they aren’t in the room with her. She uses it to teach us all about what she’s learned and what she sees working for her patients. It turns out she’s a major advocate of real food diets, like the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, GAPS diet and WAPF diet.

That’s why I invited her on the podcast. I wanted to pick her brain for even more info.

(click here to show us some love in iTunes, we’d really appreciate it)

On This Podcast, We Cover:

7:15 As a practitioner, why does Jill take the extra time to blog?
12:01 Is there a diet everyone in America should eat?
16:24 How to find high-quality eggs near you
20:41 Do we need to be concerned about cholesterol?
25:15 Jill’s first action step for Crohn’s and Colitis patients
35:11 Is Chiropractic care necessary for digestive health? How it can help…
39:43 Is food allergy testing really worth it?

Huge thanks to Jill for taking time to talk with us and thank you for supporting us.

– Steve
