When we were part of the Real Food Summit last year, we had the pleasure of meeting Pam Killeen live on the air. She’s the author of Addiction: The Hidden Epidemic and co-author of the New York Times bestselling book, The Great Bird Flu Hoax.
So, when we talked about doing a podcast together (that wasn’t about poop)… I was intrigued. 99% of our podcasts are about digestion, so it was a nice little sidebar to chat about something different with Pam.
I always have fun interviewing people that actually have a clinic and work with people 1-on-1 because their clinical experience is so interesting. There’s nothing better than speaking with someone who’s working with people that are actually getting healthy and hear stories about what’s working and what’s not working for their clients.
Not only that, but her interest in chronic illness stems from overcoming a lengthy battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS). So, we dive right into the good stuff…
On This Podcast with Pam, You’ll Learn:
2:07 How Pam overcame Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia
5:11 The out of control “bad mood epidemic”
10:00 Two important steps to overcoming chronic illness
15:30 Five questions to ask before you believe any nutritional claims
22:26 Are we more prone to developing addictions today?
25:24 Common surprising drugs people use to self-medicate
29:47 How a musician overcame debilitating Tourette’s Syndrome
31:02 How an escaped cult victim regained her health (despite the trauma)
