Jessamyn Stanley is known for combining a deep understanding of yoga with a willingness to share her personal struggles. Now she brings her body-positive, emotionally uplifting approach in a book that will help every reader discover the power of yoga. Jessamyn will appear in conversation with local writer and yoga instructor Nicole Tsong.As an internationally recognized yoga teacher and Instagram star, Jessamyn Stanley conducts yoga workshops across the country, teaching students of all shapes, sizes, and colors how to make yoga a permanent part of their lives. A rising media favorite, Jessamyn has been profiled and featured by a wide range of international and national news outlets, including Good Morning America, New York, Glamour, Shape, Al Jazeera English, the Huffington Post, The Daily Mail,The Sunday Times Style, and People, among others. She won a 2016 Shortie Award (honoring excellence in social media) in the Healthy Living Category. She lives in Durham, North Carolina. Nicole Tsong is the spirited voice behind the weekly fitness column, "Fit for Life," in The Seattle Times' Pacific NW magazine, and is the author of two books, "Yoga for Hikers" and "Yoga for Climbers" (Mountaineers Books, 2016). Nicole teaches sweaty, fun power flow yoga classes around Seattle, mentors and trains new yoga teachers, and she also taught kids yoga for three years at the White House Easter Egg Roll. A journalist for nearly a decade at The Seattle Times and the Anchorage Daily News, Nicole remains a writer at heart. Nicole also is honored to serve as president of the board for Yoga Behind Bars, a Seattle-based nonprofit that offers yoga classes to 4,000 prisoners annually in Washington state.
