I had the pleasure of spending time with Todd Nettlleton at NRB 2018 in Nashville. During our conversation, Todd shares about his 20 years of work at The Voice of the Martyrs, a new book titled Wurmbrand: Tortured for Christ – The Complete Story (David C. Cook, 2018), and Tortured for Christ - The Movie.

About the Book: This biography explores the inspiring lives of Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand, telling the complete story in one volume for the first time! On February 29, 1948, Richard Wurmbrand was arrested by the secret police. His crimes? Leading Christian worship and witnessing—both of which were illegal under the atheistic Communist regime of Romania. He also spoke up for Christ at a gathering of party officials and religious leaders. Because of his faithfulness to Christ, he endured 14 years of prison and torture. His wife, Sabina, suffered two years of forced labor. They emerged not with melancholy or a bitter spirit but with a story of victorious faith. Though Richard and Sabina endured intense persecution, they remained outspoken and bold about sharing their faith in the God who saved them.

About Todd Nettleton: Todd is the Chief of Media Relations and Message Integration for The Voice of the Martyrs and the host of The Voice of the Martyrs Radio. Todd serves as a voice for persecuted Christians, working with the media to tell people in the United States about the faithfulness of Christ’s followers in 60+ nations where they face persecution.

The son of missionary parents, Todd spent part of his youth in Papua New Guinea and the rest in Southern California.

Todd and his wife, Charlotte, have two grown sons and recently welcomed their first daughter-in-law into the family. In his spare time, Todd enjoys reading, writing, music, travel and sports, including serving as commissioner of a fantasy football league. In 2015 he ran his first half-marathon.
